Suffering and Evil

Many people struggle with the idea of suffering because its something that most people have the idea that if their really is a God then suffering shouldn't exist. Well this is my response to this:

The bible says in Romans 5:3-5
"Not only so but we also rejoice in our sufferings because we know suffering produces perserverance, perserverance character and character hope. And Hope does not disappoint us, because God has poured out his love into our hearts by the Holy Spirit, whom he has given us.

Rejoice is suffering? Doesnt that sound a little strange or weird? Maybe at first. But notice what Paul says. He doesnt rejoice because he is suffering- that would be weird. Instead, Paul rejoices in suffering because of what it produces in his life. If your life is a breeze, you won't learn to be genuine or caring; you won't mature, and your faith won't be tested and deepened. The difficulties of life are what make you a better person- stronger, deeper and more hopeful. When you are hurting realize that pain is what helps you grow more like Christ.

Inspirational Bible Verse

I know I talk a lot about what is biblical and what is not but I just wanted to bring home some scripture verses that I refer to a lot in my daily life to inspire me and to give me hope.

Romans 5:3-5

My favorite bible verse because it talks about suffering and how God can use suffering to be a good thing to shape your character, and give you hope for the faith within you.

Interesting Point of view on this issue, its amazing to me how many truths people think is true, and what christianity. Its becoming a cultural norm that if you have lots of letters after your name that you must know what your talking about. Its not biblical, always go back to scripture. Scripture can never mean what it never meant.
