Thoughtful Christian Review

Have you ever read any articles by "Thoughtful Christian" if you have then you probably are wondering what is this person talking about???? Thats what I thought when I first read some of the articles, first of all the person is taking the bible out of context and clearly sees homosexuality is okay and not a sin. Its clearly a sin as seen thoughout the bible. Its important as Christians to recongize false teachings and to point out in consistances to point people to Christ.

Should homosexuals be aloud in the church?

Should homosexuals be aloud in the church? This has been a topic that has been on the minds of many people especially nowadays with all the "equal rights for gays" as Christians we need to remember something, love the person hate the sin. We need to work with them to help them recognize the sinful world they are living. We need to help them and point them to the truth. We need to preach the gospel of Jesus Christ to them and to support them in their transition from a non believer to a believer in Christ. This is our job as Christians, we can't change a heart only God can but we can help people and support people in their walk toward Christ. We can do anything through Christ who strengthens us. I encourage all of you to get involved and to point people to the truth, this is not just going to go away, we need more Christians to stand up for the truth found in the scriptures! Its never too late to make a change, because one change can affect a persons life completely.

Christianity Vs. Atheism

Interesting blog site!

Should the words "Under God" be in the pledge?

The Pledge of Allegiance was first written in 1892 for a magazine contest, and it read: "I Pledge Allegiance to my Flag and the Republic for which it stands; one nation indivisible, with liberty and justice for all." The Pledge became part of the US Flag Code in 1942, and in 1954 President Eisenhower and Congress added the phrase "under God” into the Pledge.

Proponents of including "under God” in the Pledge argue that the US is a Christian nation, at least 80% of Americans support the phrase, the language reflects America’s civic culture and is not a religious statement, and federal law, state constitutions, currency, and the presidential oath already contain references to God.

Opponents contend that church and state should be kept strictly separate as the Founding Fathers intended. They argue that the Constitution protects minority rights against majority will, and that the words "under God" in the Pledge are a religious phrase and thus violate the Establishment Clause of the First Amendment.

This gives you insite on why the social gospel is false through a biblical worldview. Its an interesting article and I hope you enjoy reading it. Its something that people still believe in which from a Christian persepective is really sad.
